RUNNING BULL EFB
EFB FOR START/STOP VEHICLES
WITHOUT ENERGY RECUPERATION.
EFB technology is primarily used in start/stop systems with high energy requirements.
The Running Bull EFB battery is the ideal solution, primarily for small cars up to the upper mid-range.
NEW start/stop batteries with EFB technology.
Banner is expanding its Running Bull EFB battery range to meet the challenges of the future.
Especially for European passenger cars.
There are 2 new EFB batteries in the range.
2 battery types primarily for car models with start/stop function from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Nissan, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Suzuki, VW, ... :
EFB 552 11 (box H4/L1 – 52 Ah/540 A EN)
EFB 595 11 (box H8/L5 – 95 Ah/850 A EN)
Specially designed for Asian passenger cars.
In 2014, Banner was one of the first battery manufacturers in Europe to include EFB Asia battery types in its Running Bull product range. This enabled us to meet and continue to meet the manufacturer specifications of Asian vehicle manufacturers who originally install this type of battery in their start/stop models.
These all feature EFB technology with a glass fleece layer on the separator, a friction-welded lid with central degassing and integrated backfire protection.
Here is a brief overview of our new Asia EFB type for Subaru Boxer and many e-Boxer models (mild hybrid with dual battery system):
EFB 555 16 (box 45NS/B24 – 55 Ah/460 A EN)
TECHNICAL DATA AND INFORMATION
- Range of 16 types with capacities from 38-95 Ah
- Up to 270,000 engine starts
- Glass fleece cover on the separator and special active mass composition
- The key to the durability of the battery is provided by twice the cyclical life of conventional starter batteries and its robust design: M2 classification pursuant to EN 50342-1
- Top V3 vibration resistance rating pursuant to EN 50342-1
- “Carbon loaded”: The carbon additives lead to a marked reduction of the charging time!
- Double Top for maximum protection against leaks and operational safety
- Zero maintenance due to modern calcium/calcium mesh technology
EFB batteries are primarily designed for cars with start-stop functions and high energy requirements. Conventional wet batteries can no longer fulfil these requirements. Directly next to the engine block (combustion engine), the more heat-resistant EFB battery - with fitted thermal protection cover - is preferable if it was already installed as an original battery at the factory. Cars with a large number of additional electrical consumers, such as retrofitted auxiliary heaters, also benefit from the higher cycle stability of EFB batteries.
Good to know! More and more electric cars are being fitted with 12V on-board power supply batteries with EFB technology, or an upgrade can be made in terms of battery technology.
Banner tip! EFB batteries are also ideal for vehicles with higher energy requirements, e.g. taxis and emergency vehicles of various blue light organisations.
