CAN YOU FIND OUT THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE OF A Banner BATTERY?

The production code date of all Banner batteries is encrypted and used only for internal tracking of the batteries. However, the physical age of the battery has only a very limited significance for its service life and state of health. For this reason, the codes stamped on Banner batteries do not allow any self-explanatory conclusions to be drawn about the production date.

Decisive for the function of the battery is not the date of production or the first filling with acid, but the time of commissioning in the vehicle/application.

Important:the battery must be kept in a good state of charge during the period between production and sale to the user. This is absolutely certain to be the case with Banner batteries and Banner authorised dealers.

The battery life is, therefore, mainly determined by the number of discharge/charge cycles as well as the depth of discharge and not by the physical age of the battery.

Please note: Proof of guarantee and warranty is solely the purchase receipt with the date of purchase.

The production code date of all Banner batteries is encrypted and used only for internal tracking of the batteries. Please understand that we do not decode. Furthermore, the production code only indicates when the battery was manufactured, not when it was filled with acid and charged. There is an extra filling code for this on top of the battery.

P.S. A DOT marking with a sequence of numbers, which in the case of car tyres shows the date of manufacture (DOT = Department Of Transportation USA), is not required for starter batteries.
