Banner is expanding its product range with four new battery types: three EFB models for start-stop passenger cars, hybrid, and electric vehicles, as well as a new AGM battery for commercial vehicles. With this expansion, the company strengthens its position as a full-range provider for all types of drive systems – from traditional combustion engines to hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

 

Staffordshire, October 14, 2025. The trend toward start-stop systems, additional electric consumers, and alternative drive types is placing increasing demands on modern batteries. With three new passenger car EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) types and an additional Buffalo Bull AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery for the commercial vehicle sector, Banner is responding precisely to changing market and customer needs. “Our starter and onboard power supply batteries are ideally suited for all types of vehicle drives – from combustion engines and hybrids to battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The product range expansion is an important step in offering our customers the most comprehensive coverage possible of the European vehicle fleet for aftermarket fitment with our OE-quality brand batteries,” explains Lee Quinney, Country Manager, Banner Batteries (GB) Ltd.

 

New Running Bull EFB types for passenger cars – ideal for start-stop, hybrid, and e-mobility

The passenger car range is being expanded with three new EFB types, developed specifically for vehicles with start-stop technology and mild-hybrid systems. The Running Bull EFB 552 11 (H4/L1 – 52 Ah/540 A EN) is suitable for numerous modern models from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Fiat, Lancia, Seat, Skoda, Suzuki, and VW. The Running Bull EFB 595 11 (H8/L5 – 95 Ah/850 A EN) additionally covers new model series from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Fiat, Maserati, Nissan, Renault, Seat, Skoda, and VW. The range is complemented by the Running Bull EFB 555 16 (45NS/B24 – 55 Ah/460 A EN), developed specifically for Subaru Boxer and e-Boxer models with a dual-battery system. With a total of 16 different start-stop batteries, Banner now covers around 90 percent of the European vehicle market – eight of which are specially designed for Asian makes.

Buffalo Bull AGM 170 Ah: new benchmark for commercial vehicle batteries
In the commercial vehicle sector, the new Buffalo Bull AGM 670 01 with 170 Ah capacity sets new standards. With its B-Box dimensions (513 × 223 × 195/220 mm), it is ideally suited as a replacement for conventional HD, SHD, and EFB batteries of this size. “Especially in the commercial vehicle segment, as an upgrade for buses, trucks, agricultural and construction machinery, as well as snow groomers, the Buffalo Bull AGM 670 01 offers clear added value,” emphasizes Lee Quinney, Country Manager, Banner Batteries (GB) Ltd. “The investment in AGM technology pays off in the long term through a significantly lower risk of failure, longer service life, and reduced maintenance costs.”

The new Buffalo Bull AGM 670 01 impresses with a significantly longer service life and maximum reliability, even under the most intensive use. Its triple cycle life compared to SHD batteries ensures greater durability, while optimized charge acceptance reduces the risk of failure. Thanks to its special plate fixation, the battery also offers maximum vibration resistance – a decisive advantage under tough operating conditions. The improved cold-start performance ensures reliable starting even at sub-zero temperatures.
