WHAT IS COASTING?

QUITE SIMPLY THE FREE ROLLING OF THE REMOTE TRUCK

More and more often, kinetic energy is also converted into electrical energy during coasting in the truck sector and used to charge the starter and on-board batteries.

How exactly does coasting or sailing with the long-distance truck work?

The coasting assistant signals the trucker when to take his foot off the accelerator before an intersection or traffic light so that the truck can coast and recharge the battery in the process. The Coasting Assistant works together with the navigation system and is automatically activated when a destination is set. In a certain speed range, the system then gives the driver the coasting recommendation by means of a symbol in the instrument unit and a discreet acoustic signal.

This saves fuel and reduces emissions.

The truck then uses the energy that the battery previously stored. Our Buffalo Bull batteries are then real CO2 and fuel savers!

Banner Batteries is part of Coasting Technology, with the most powerful starter and on-board batteries in the Buffalo Bull EFB series for long-haul trucks.
