HOW TO DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES (RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES)?

THE CORRECT COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF USED RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

Consumers return used batteries (lead acid-based, including AGM and gel batteries) free of charge to any final distributor (e.g., parts dealer, garage, fast-fitter/quick-repair workshop,… petrol station)

Final distributors are obliged to take back all used batteries from the consumer, – irrespective of the brand. –

Always isolate one terminal when returning used batteries!

Please note: At Banner, the positive terminal (+) of the used batteries is always secured against short-circuiting before transfer to a used battery container! By attaching a terminal cap, if not available then insulate with adhesive tape (Powertape).

Collection of used batteries is primarily for environmental protection.

In many European countries, there are also municipal collection points at local municipalities, e.g., used material collection centres, recycling collection points, also so-called recycling yards. In some EU countries there is also a deposit system to recycle used batteries in an environmentally friendly way.

Never dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
